The Clash – Spanish Bombs. 71 Comments; General CommentI just got my hands on London Calling. It's my first album by The Clash. This song is probably the one I listen to the most. It's so catchy and up-beat despite the depressing subject matter. Anyway, London Calling is, in my opinon, the closest any album has come to perfection. Reply

Hinds have responded to the release of The Prettiest Curse by posting a cover of The Clash‘s track Spanish Bombs which they recorded during sessions for the album. One of the many, varied delights of The Clash’s double classic London Calling, it was a natural fit for the band, as they explain: “We’ve always. Reply

"Spanish Bombs" is a song by English punk rock band the Clash, with principal vocals by Joe Strummer and additional vocals by Mick Jones. It was written by Strummer and recorded for the band's album London Calling. The song also appears on the Clash compilation albums The Story of the Clash, Volume 1 () and Clash on Broadway (). Reply

Jul 31,  · Fresh off the release of their very fun new album The Prettiest Curse, the poppy Madrid garage band have delivered a gleefully noisy take on the Clash’s London Calling classic “Spanish Bombs. Reply

Jul 31,  · As Spaniards, we don’t usually get shout outs in songs, like ‘New York’ or ‘London,’ so The Clash writing a song about our civiil war made us feel honored. We recorded it the last day of studio, pretty much live, while recording our third album. “Spanish Bombs” first appeared on The Clash’s album  London Calling. Reply

Jul 31,  · Las Hinds may have taking a big leap on their album The Prettiest Curse with their embrace of Pop, but there’s no denying that they’ll always be rockers at heart. The Madrid band are sharing today their cover of The Clash’s London Calling track, “Spanish Bombs.”For obvious reasons, the Punk song hits close to home and it was a natural fit for them to cover. Spanish Bombs by The Clash song meaning, lyric interpretation, video and chart position Album: London Calling "There should be a song called 'Spanish Bombs' about it," noted Strummer. So he wrote one. Interestingly, this is very similar to how "London Calling" first came about. Reply
