Brian Eno's "Taking Tiger Mountain (By Strategy)" is a tour de force for what I like to call weird rock. His singing is all over the place and the songs/lyrics are bizarre, but that's what makes it amazing. The experimentation in this makes it sound dated but at the same time, years ahead. I still can't believe that riff in Third Uncle was from. Reply

Dec 29,  · I'm listening to this on the headphones, after quite some time, to tell you the truth.. and I just can't help but wonder.. what a masterpiece.. it's all there, sped-up rock 'n' roll punk (Third Uncle), avant-garde quirkiness (The Fat Lady Of Limbourg & The Great Pretender), guitar rock 'n' roll madness (The True Wheel), a mellow ballad (Taking Tiger Mountain) and finally, a lullaby /5(). Tiger, of course, wasn’t created in a jolxapazakidteecalfugenonesspron.coinfo record is actually something of a companion piece to John Cale’s Fear, which was recorded at the same time with many of the same jolxapazakidteecalfugenonesspron.coinfo Fear is a wonderful, ear-opening album, but it won’t make you throw out half your music jolxapazakidteecalfugenonesspron.coinfo will. It demands a fealty that Fear doesn’t because of the height and depth of its achievement. Reply
