A "tag" in an audio file is a section of the file that contains metadata such as the title, artist, album, track number or other information about the file's contents. The MP3 standards do not define tag formats for MP3 files, nor is there a standard container format that would support metadata. Reply

Further information about the mp3 search process: While you entering your searched mp3 name, FreeMP3 will show you at least 5 keyword suggestions which will help you to complete your search. You can click on a suggestion or just write your own keyword and hit the mp3 search button next to it. While the results for your search will be generated, a spinner icon will appear. Reply

Each digital music file you have has two main fields in which you can record the artist. The first is the track artist field. Reply
